About Professor Liqin ZHAO
Professor Liqin ZHAO, a highly experienced TCM consultant from one of the state hospitals in China with 40 years of clinical and research experience, received her professorship from the Henan University of TCM. She graduated in 1985 after five years of full time study in the University, possesses a Bachelor degree of Medical Science (BMSci.), and is well qualified in both TCM and conventional Western medicine. She is currently a leading TCM practitioner in the UK, specializes in Infertility and gynecological problems, has been practising Acupuncture and Chinese medicine in the UK since 1995, and founded the Zhong Jing TCM Clinic in 1997.
Professor Zhao is the President of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, UK (ATCM), and a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners. She is also an executive council member of the renowned World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS), and Vice President of both the Gynaecological Committee and the Zhong Jing Heritage and Innovation Committee of WFCMS.
Professor Zhao had been the Chief Editor of 'the Journal of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture' in the UK for six years. She has published over 50 academic papers on the professional journals internationally. She has been lecturing worldwide to post-graduated TCM practitioners, acupuncturists and Chinese herbalists on her expertise in fertility and gynecology, and has also been involved with some research programmes. She has been working in collaboration with CARE Fertility UK (the UK's leading fertility clinic group for IVF treatment) and some consultants from hospitals, and has helped hundreds of patients including many medical doctors, consultants, midwives, physiotherapists and nurses. Her work has attracted widespread journalistic interest, and has been featured several times on newspapers, magazines and television.
